In Kindy, the children remembered those who had fought in the war by watching a short video and making a poppy field in the tuff tray with green sand and red and black resources. They also enjoyed using some purple resources to remember the animals that went to war. The children worked out how to connect the pieces to make the poppies upright, as if they were growing from the tray.
During the two minute silence Kindy watched the beautiful CBebbies ‘Remembrance Rabbit’. During the afternoon the children made poppies, painting pieces of egg cartons and choosing what they would like to use to make a stalk.
We are very grateful to the parents who have shared their families stories of service, we enjoyed sharing these with the children on Friday.
