How well do you know the members of the Barrow Hills team? We thought you might like to get to know us better. This week… Miss Tyrrell was interviewed by Izzy (6G) and Toby (6R).
What brought you to Barrow Hills?
“Everybody was very welcoming and when I went on the tour I fell in love with the school.”
If you could have dinner with three famous people ( past or present ) who would they be and why?
“Albert Einstein because I can learn from him. Jim Carey because he is extremely funny and humorous. The Queen because I could learn what her life is like.”
What is your favourite book?
“I think my favourite book is ‘The Tale of Despereaux’ by Kate DiCamillo.”
Which attributes from the Pupil Profile would you have got the most credits for at school?
“Generous and responsible, although I think I was good at all of them!”
If you could try out a new skill what would it be?
“I would like to be able to learn the saxophone and so I am going to start it.”
What is your favourite part of your job?
“I really like getting to know and taking care of the children.”
Can you tell us about an interesting fact about yourself?
“I can play around ten instruments including the harp and the violin.”
What country would you like to go to that you haven’t been to?
“I would really like to go to Australia but also Norway and Denmark.”
Have you got any pets?
“I have got two dogs called Rufus and Rosen. They are both wirehaired vizslas.”
What do you like doing in your free time?
“I like playing musical instruments, crafting, reading and walking outdoors. I also like shopping!”
What is your favourite sport?
“My favourite sport is probably rounders.”
What is your favourite food?
“I like anything Italian!”
What was your favourite subject in school?
“I liked all subjects but maths and music were two of my favourites.”
