There may be lots of familiar faces, but particularly at the moment, with no bacon butties, no BHCC events and ‘drop and go’ in the car park, we thought you might like to get to know us better. This week… Mrs Goedkoop is interviewed by NJ (8G).
“I interviewed Mrs Goedkoop on Thursday 5th October. The interview began at 13:15. Mrs Goedkoop and I both said our greetings and I started asking open ended questions around her life journey.
Mrs Goedkoop’s passion and mission as an educator is to assist, teach students in developing the passion and skills for becoming lifelong 21st century learners. Mrs Goedkoop takes pride in providing learning experiences that are relevant, practical and motivating. She facilitates fun, challenging and exciting learning experiences. Mrs Goedkoop sets standards that encourage the children to continue improvement and the production of ideas that result in improved solutions. Mrs Goedkoop creates an environment in which students are encouraged and empowered to grow and develop. Learning from Mrs Goedkoop, she has many different skills such as positivity, creativity and a big picture thinker. I asked thirteen different questions.
Mrs Goedkoop’s job is Head of Learning Support. Three different words to describe her are inquisitive, friendly and humorous. Her favourite book is ‘Great Expectations’ By Charles Dickens.
Mrs Goedkoop loves horse riding and has two lovely dogs.
Her qualifications are BA Honors, Philosophy and Literature and a postgraduate qualification in special educational needs.
She would love to go to Italy if she had the opportunity to choose one country to go to.
Mrs Goedkoop has different attributes in making children learn and giving a wider range of how school really is and encourages them to try things they have never done before. Mrs Goedkoop is definitely amazing to work with and have here at Barrow Hills.”
