Hello, we are Laura and Matthew Eisenhower, ex-pupils at Barrow Hills, and this summer we’re challenging ourselves to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak and the world’s highest freestanding mountain!
We are doing so to raise funds for the charity Dig Deep! Their mission is to unlock opportunities for Kenya’s poorest residents by ensuring everyone has clean water, safe toilets, and good hygiene – forever.
Where Dig Deep work, 8 out of every 10 people lack access to clean water, safe toilets, and good hygiene, most residents live in rural communities and spend hours every day walking to collect dirty water or find a safe place to relieve themselves.
By reducing the time lost to water collection and preventable disease we remove these barriers to learning and earning, allowing people to lift themselves out of poverty.
For a child, this can mean the difference between dropping out of primary school and completing a full education.
For a parent, this can mean the difference between struggling to get by and earning enough to improve the standing of their family.
100% funds we receive will contribute to a charity donation that goes directly to the communities in rural Kenya.
To donate please follow this link to our donation page.
Any support to help us reach our target is greatly appreciated, thank you!
