Year 8 have had a full programme of events following their exams. On Monday, they went to Woking to visit ‘Discover Archery’. After a briefing on safety and how to load a bow, off they went into a variety of shooting games – a little bit like paintballing but with bows and arrows! The constant rain did not put them off and great fun was had by all.
Orienteering at Queen Elizabeth Country Park with Mrs Burnett and Miss Holder midweek was also met with enthusiasm and all children safely navigated their way back to the minibus!
They have also found time to spend a day on retreat, preparing for the next stage in their school life, eat pizza, enjoy a whole school picnic, pose for photos for their leavers book and put together their leavers assembly. By the time the newsletter goes live, they will have taken part in Sports Day and Prize Day. One more week to go before we say goodbye and good luck to this great group of children.
