Early one morning, Kindy and Nursery children found a frog hiding under a shed. The boys then dug a hole to make a pond. Mr Mullins kindly lined the hole and found some stones to hold it in place. The children decorated it with bark, fern and lichen found in the school grounds. They went on to design and make fish which they ‘caught’ using home made fishing rods. Sadly after a few hours investigative play, the pond was dismantled in line with health and safety regulations. However, it was wonderful to hear their amazing thoughts and ideas as the play moved from one idea to another.
Their creativity, awe and wonder knows no limits – what an incredible way to end another happy day in our beautiful school grounds.
