Inspired by her neighbour, Josh (Miss Anna’s son), Poppy (4G) and her family walked and cycled 1,006.53 miles to raise much needed funds for Hope for Hasti. Hope for Hasti is a charity focused on the development of a gene therapy for Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS), to improve the quality of life of those living with this rare and little known genetic condition.
Completing an earlier challenge in September, taking his mountain bike 600 miles across the country with E.T. as his sidekick was not enough for Josh, who is now on a journey to cycle 5,000 miles around the coast of Britain. This is a route the equivalent of London to Calcutta, climbing 232,000 feet which is comparable to eight times the height of Everest!
As Poppy and her family watched Josh prepare for his journey, they were motivated to take part in their own charity mission to help Hasti’s family with their virtual journey to the moon. Their endeavours have raised over £1,000. Well done Poppy, we are very proud of you!
