“If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would have only four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man!”
Albert Einstein
With this thought in mind, we have been looking at what nature gives us. Nature helps to provide the air we breathe, the water we drink, much of the food we eat, some of the medicines we take, and the materials we use to build shelters. We have looked at how pollinators, particularly bees, are vital to the pollination process which creates the seeds, which reproduce and we then grow.
Bees are responsible for over 80% of all pollination!
We have looked down the trumpet of a daffodil at the powdery pollen, and buzzed like bees around the fire circle, singing our newly learnt spring song about a ‘minibeast parade’.
