On Friday 26th November, children in Years 3-8 participated in the St Edmund’s cross-country competition.
15 schools participated with at least 50 runners in each race and the conditions were wet and cold. The best word to describe the course would be undulating… the children saw flat ground only at the end for the sprint to the finish.
Below are the results for the top finisher from Barrow Hills in each age group:
U8 Girls: Esme (3R) 5th
U8 Boys: James (3G) 11th
U9 Girls: Laura (4G) 9th
U9 Boys: Josh (4G) 25th
U10 Girls: Eliza (5G) 2nd
U10 Boys: Freddie (5R) 21st
U10 Boys: Alexnder (5G) 24th
U11 Girls: Anna (6R) 15th
U11 Boys: Lucas (6R) 30th
U12 Boys: Hugo (7G) 20th
U13 Girls: Bea (8G) 11th
U13 Boys: Conrad (8G) 20th
U8 Girls Team: 2nd overall out of 15 schools.
Very well done to all 40 children who ran for Barrow Hills.
