On Tuesday 25th May, Barrow Hills children played their first tennis match of the year against Belmont School.
The U11 matches were incredibly closely fought with five singles matches and three doubles games. For most of the team this was their first ever experience of a tennis match and they were able to serve and score their own games. Gabriel (6G), Harry (6R) and Cleo (5G) won their singles games and Gabriel and Harry won their doubles match. The overall score was 4-4.
The U13 matches were not quite as close a competition. Barrow Hills lost 8-0 overall and despite a lot of great rallies Belmont were definitely the stronger team!
