Wow, Year 2 has had another busy and fantastic week of learning. In our topic and art this week we began to look at the Great Fire of London. Year 2 have so many questions they want to find out the answer to and we will be exploring these over the next few weeks as we delve deeper into the topic.
We found out that the Great Fire of London lasted for five days and Year 2 could not believe how quickly it spread! They created a timeline of events for the fire and thought about how the people involved in 1666 felt. We also discussed how lucky we are to have fire engines to help keep us safe now.
In art they created a brilliant house from the Fire of London. They used black paper to create the house with fire using orange, red and yellow paper and tissue paper. I am sure you will all agree there is some brilliant art work.
