In science, Years 5 and 6 conducted the Science Museum’s very own Great Object Hunt.
This task saw children using their observation and questioning skills to get thinking about how science and technology shape our lives. Years 5 and 6 were challenged to locate objects from around their house to fit specified criteria (e.g something that changes how you see or something you cannot live without), to use English skills to describe differences between objects and to deconstruct objects and analyse their component parts.
Children, both at home and at School, showed great creativity as many weird and wonderful items were categorised. Heidi and Huw’s examples are below.
