Year 1 has had another fantastic week. I have included pictures some of the wonderful shields they have made. I am so impressed with the time and care they have taken over them. Well done everyone.
The children have learnt about Antarctica and I have been so impressed with their research. They have started a new topic in maths – ‘length’. They have all worked so hard to explore their house and find objects which help them to understand the key words; long, longer, short, shorter, higher, higher and tall, taller. They have learnt about the properties of materials in science with the help of Mr Crisell who explained the task on his second science video!
The children have also been busy in English, learning spellings, writing news, answering comprehension questions and learning how to use question marks. It is amazing how keen and enthusiastic all the children are. Thank you again to all the parents for their wonderful support.
