The Year 1 children continue to amaze me with their enthusiasm. They are so motivated in every aspect of their learning as their photos and videos clearly show.
They have been extremely creative making the most incredible castles (they are all so original and truly fantastic), pressing flowers and baking cakes. They have experienced two new topics in maths, numbers to 40 and mass. Their spelling results show ongoing perseverance and continued hard work. They have learnt about Mary Anning ‘the fossil girl’.
The children are also reading, enjoying plenty of fresh air with physical activities and they have continued to explore the topic of ‘materials’ for science. Mr Crisell has greatly enjoyed his weekly slot teaching the children this topic. Although he got soaked this week – I tipped water on him too early!
I am so proud of all the children and I wish them all a well deserved rest over the half term break. Huge thanks to all the parents who have encouraged and supported their children every day, sending me wonderful work, videos and photos of the children.
