Year 1 has had another brilliant week.
“Mrs Ferris and I are very excited about welcoming all the children back next week!”
The children have learnt about Victorian hospitals and they now know some facts about Florence Nightingale. They have worked so hard in maths mastering how to interpret data from a picture graph and answer a range of questions. In English they have been learning about speech marks. They have also written about their chosen character for World Book Day. The story of The Good Samaritan in RE allowed plenty of time for discussion and reflection of the story.
Thank you for all the wonderful photos sent in of the fantastic jewellery boxes the children made last week.
Our final Tuesday dress up theme was – anything you like! The range of outfits was amazing- pretty dresses, bright blue wigs, a dinosaur head, a onesie and a jesters hat to name a few!
“A huge thank you to all the Year 1 parents for their wonderful support, patience and help during this period of distance learning.
Also, to all the Year 1 children for coping so well with live lessons and for showing such enthusiasm for their learning.”
