Year 1 have been completely fantastic this week! I have been sent so many fabulous videos, photos and amazing pieces of work. I am so proud of all the children. Thank you so much to all the parents for the help and support they are giving their children at home.
In science, Year 1 are really enjoying the weekly guest appearance by Mr Crisell! In maths, they have been learning about fractions with the focus on ½ and ¼. They have also learnt to read data and interpret it to answer questions from a picture graph. As part of their topic work, they have made their own incredible castles. I am thrilled with the creativity and range of ways they have constructed these. Well done everyone!
On Monday, the children really enjoyed learning about the Water Cycle. Some of the fantastic diagrams they have drawn are below. They have also been working really hard to learn spellings, write their news, answer comprehension questions and improve their cursive handwriting.
A huge round of applause for all the children!
