Year 1 have had a brilliant week. I am so proud of all the children.
They have been learning about animals and plants that live in hot climates. They researched the Sahara Desert. I was so impressed with their fantastic fact finding, it was extremely interesting to read.
The children have worked very hard on their maths. Regrouping numbers and counting on from ten. They completed number stories made up of words not just numbers.
They have labelled castle features in their topic work with great success. Their art activity this week was to make a shield so I look forward to seeing the results next week.
In science their task was to create a feely bag then guess the object and know what material it is made from.
What a packed week of learning in Year 1!
My thanks to all the parents for all the wonderful support they have given their children.
