This week in English, Year 2 has been learning about poetry. We explored the poet Edward Lear and his poem ‘The Owl and the Pussy-Cat’. The children learnt the poem with actions and looked at reading poems aloud to their peers. They then went on to write their first poem about a crocodile. They did fantastically and we were very impressed with their amazing ideas, well done Year 2!
