This week, Year 3 had a wonderful time carrying out an ‘Egg Drop’ science experiment.
They were split into teams of four and were given a raw egg along with a selection of materials. The remit was to investigate whether or not they could drop an egg from a second floor window without it breaking!
All they were given were three balloons, a roll of masking tape, a metre of string, eight long paper straws and a newspaper!
There was much discussion about how to make the experiment fair and then the race was on to build the best ‘egg protector’ before they were launched out of the top floor window of the Thomas More building.
“We hope you enjoy watching each egg’s adventure! We had a wonderful time and Mrs Peek said our team work was brilliant!” Year 3
