Year 3 have once again picked up their trowels and headed into the Barrow Hills gardens. The children have decorated the beds surrounding the science block with what promises to be a profusion of colourful annuals, before heading round to the raised beds by the greenhouse to be taught to recognise a weed. They then all had a go at weeding, carefully avoiding Mr Gaszka’s prize dahlias!
Finally, the children released their beautiful butterflies. There were squeals of delight and lots of discussion as they were coaxed out of their safe house. Mrs Peek was very pleased that they all survived their Year 3 experience and rather unique start to life!
