Welcome to Barrow Hills School of Dentistry!
Year 3 children are learning all about ‘teeth’ in their new science topic. They have been looking at their own teeth with mirrors, identifying the differences between them and drawing their own mouths. They have been learning the names of different teeth and their functions as well as linking this to which types of teeth are most important to different animals and why. Mrs Peek can always squeeze a recap of the ‘herbivore, omnivore, carnivore’ sing along in there somewhere too and they all loved having their picture taken as they worked!
The next lesson in Barrow Hills School of Dentistry will be learning how to keep teeth clean and healthy. The children will create posters for their topic work that will be displayed in the windows of the Thomas More next week.
