Year 3 have had a fantastic time being back in school this week, albeit socially distanced. The children have been outside as much as possible, dodging the rain showers in the earlier part of the week!
We have been so impressed with their responsible attitude in sanitising their hands and following instructions and think they are ready for the move up to Year 4 in September!
The children have built a house for a mouse or a bug, sketched the front of the school, been on a scavenger hunt, written letters to the new Year 3 telling them all about what they have to look forward to, eaten delicious pizza and packed lunches and reflected on the super year they have had at Barrow Hills. They have kept their fitness levels up with a games session every afternoon and even a mini sports day with medals. Break times have been particularly enjoyed; having some fun time back with their friends.
Many congratulations to Suzie (3G) and Emilia (3R), who achieved the Year 3 form effort prizes this year. Suzie was also the recipient of the Effort Cup for Ballet, awarded by Miss Anna. Suzie worked extremely hard and gained a distinction for the Grade One ballet exam.
Have a wonderful summer everyone!
