Year 3 children have embraced working from home and have made us proud with all their commitment and hard work.
In science, they have had a super time in the garden testing out different soils and trying to make ‘sausages’ out of the samples they found!
As the weather has been kind and the sun shining, the children have been able to do a spring walk around their garden and identify many objects to write about. We have seen super descriptive grids and beautifully written paragraphs all about spring, well done Year 3!
There have also been reports of super spelling test results, so well done to you all! Mrs Peek’s English class completed a super comprehension this week. Please see Freddie’s (3G) hard work (even if he did report it made his hand hurt!)
In numeracy the children have been working hard at using their times tables knowledge and we look forward to seeing lots of progress when they return to School. Aria’s (3R) maths deserves a special mention.
Drama is full steam ahead learning play lines for our Year 3 production of ‘Dick Whittington and his Cat’. We cannot wait to get the children back to School to start our stage rehearsals. We know that Arthur (3R) is going to be a super Dick Whittington in the play, supported by his friends.
In history we have started a ‘sneaky peek’ into our new topic, the Vikings by making a Viking soldier and researching using Espresso.
Mrs Hardy is busy recording music videos and is looking forward to seeing how children and parents get on if distance learning continues into the summer term.
We would like to say a massive thank you to all the children, parents and family members for helping us continue the children’s learning.
Have a lovely Easter break.
Mrs Peek and Mrs Miles
