As part of their study into the Tudors, Year 4 headed out on a trip to the Weald and Downland Living Museum. The day involved exploring the Tudor houses and their spectacular herb gardens and understanding how real families lived so many hundreds of years ago; we all felt as if we were living through history. The children also experienced the various Tudor games played; both outside and inside the home. The children visited workshops ranging from a working mill to carpenters and blacksmiths; literally bringing the workings of a Tudor village to life. The live filming of the ‘Repair Shop’ also proved a great hit…. as were the incredibly confident ducks! A very hot, but inspiring day for all.
