This week, our Year 4 children were lucky enough to visit Winchester Science Museum. What a fantastic trip! The whole day was one of exploration, allowing the children access to so many scientific areas. Groups set off to investigate the world of sounds, construction, viscosity, compression and their environmental impacts. They then headed ‘into space’ to discover the gravitational force of different planets, the dangers of black holes, thermal effects as well as the incredible skills required to be an astronaut. The planetarium was the most wonderful experience; everyone truly felt they were immersed within galaxies and constellations. The day culminated in a workshop creating slime in its various forms.
A fun day enjoyed by all!
