This term, Year 6 children had to do a project on the French Revolution. There were news reports, videos, slide shows, posters, cakes, ‘La Bastille’ made of cardboard, functional guillotines made of wood and cardboard, bunting, board games and a song. It was fantastic to see parents getting involved in some of the videos! The standard of work was amazing and I am really proud of them all.
I just wanted to mention one project in particular, which made me very emotional, was the song about the French Revolution. Not only was it really well done and thought through, but also because, during the lesson for the last chorus, most of the girls started to sing it together, which gave me goosebumps.
All Year 6 children will be rewarded and there will be a couple of special prizes too. For now, have a look at the projects in this great video with the song as the soundtrack, you will be amazed.
