Year 7 had a very busy time on Tuesday this week when they performed their ‘Evening – sorry morning! – of Music and Drama’ twice in one day.
Year 8 were suitably impressed with their dress rehearsal in the morning and then Wizard Video Productions filmed their performance in the afternoon. Their show really did have something for everyone with a comedy scene from ‘The Importance of being Ernest’, a variety of monologues and some very poignant moments from ‘Private Peaceful’ and ‘The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas’. Mr Frazer even included some songs from ‘Oliver’ and it was super to hear our soloists from last year’s production sing again.
Mrs Mason said,
“ I am so proud of Year 7. They had so little time to put their production together due to lockdown and I was so delighted with their polished final performance. I know all the parents will really enjoy watching it.”
Thanks to Mr Fraser for being a superb musical director, Mr Mullins for building the fence, Ben for kindly encouraging the rest of Year 7 and to Mrs Hobbs for all her support.
