Our Art Exhibition ‘Colour World’ an exploration of colour texture and form was a triumph this week. Parents enjoyed a private view with refreshments on Tuesday evening and visitors continued throughout Wednesday and Thursday morning. The exhibition celebrated art created during the last two terms by all our children, from the youngest in Nursery to our senior Year 8s. Pieces were both collaborative and singular and included a wonderful ‘summer flower’ canvas by Pre-Prep , assisted by a few children from Years 3-6, with support from artist and art teacher Mrs Wheeler.
Mrs Wheeler commented, “I am over the moon with how the exhibition was received, how many staff, parents and children came to see it over the three openings. Thank you to the children for working so hard to complete their projects and the standard of work has been amazing. A massive thank you too to all the staff who played a part in making the exhibition happen. I hope that you will continue to enjoy the permanent frames and art on the walls in the Chapel, please do look out for more as it goes up in other areas of the school.”
