This week, our enthusiastic Reception children have dived into the wonderous world of frogs and their fascinating life cycle. They started the week by exploring a variety of engaging books that introduced them to the amazing process by which a frog transforms from a tadpole to a full-grown amphibian. The children were captivated by photographs and clips that showed each stage of this incredible transformation. They then got crafty and used a mix of materials from egg boxes and bubble wrap, to pipe-cleaners and googly eyes, and they created their own visual representation of the eggs, tadpole, froglet and adult frog stages. There were discussions about the environment needed for frogs to thrive and thoughtful conversations about nature and how we can help protect frog habitats. Well done Reception, another terrific week of learning.
