From the Head

22nd March 2024

Dear Parents,

A strong finish saw our U11 girls competing with élan in National IAPS Netball Finals and likewise our mighty U13s team. The week was full of joy: The Year 3’s relished a trip to Wisley, Year 4 provided some lovely informal concerts, Year 5 enjoyed the ‘School of Rock’. The Pre-Prep Spring Showcase and Easter bonnet parade was just too cute for words. The Bridewell Choir treated all the children to a lovely service on Wednesday. Thanks for all the wonderful parent support with all that.

We convened a parent gathering to explore ‘Life at the Top’ on Thursday. On the same day we also provided an on-line seminar to help parents navigate AI and internet. We shared our dynamic new teaching, especially pitched at Years 6,7, and 8, to help pupils utilise AI effectively and with care. To support the latter, we have provided access to some additional support at home. Do log onto:

Add your details to set up as a ‘Parent/Carer’ user. You can then access National Safety Online via any device or a smartphone app. Some really useful resources await you there.

Barely pausing for breath we anticipate the Bunny Run on Friday morning and thanks for all your support with that, and for the BHCC who provided the lovely Easter eggs.

Over the break we upgrade the boys’ and girls’ changing rooms. We have started with the Courtyard development and the Upper School Common room and will hope to get all of that over the line during summer term.

Enjoy the Easter break.
