Dad’s cricket match

12th June 2016

The inaugural Dad’s cricket match took place on Sunday 12th June.  Many thanks to Mr Royds for arranging the event and also to all the Dads (and sons) for playing and making it an enjoyable afternoon.

The match was a tight affair, played in good spirit, with some dad’s hiding their cricketing ability under various bushels, and some not!  The legend that is David ‘James Anderson’ Brydon won the Champagne moment by clean bowling ex-Leicestershire batsman and former Ireland Cricket Captain Justin Benson.  David is more than happy to speak to anyone about it at either pick up or drop off (or both), you only have to ask him and he will recount the moment in finite detail….

Look out for this event next year, get practising and beware the ‘Brydon’.
