The Railway Children come to Barrow Hills

7th July 2016

I would give it a 10 out of 10! It was funny and all the characters interacted with us, for example the porter asked for someone to help him with the bags and when Peter went to sneak some coal home from the station, the porter caught him and Peter hid in front of my chair!

My favourite part was all of it because it was emotional.  They used the props and scenery very well. They changed the colours of the lights which made a different mood, sad or happy.  The walls were on wheels and the scene could be moved around and changed quickly.

I would recommend it to everyone of any age as it was funny, emotional and dramatic.  I really enjoyed it.

As soon as the music began, I knew I was in for a treat! The character were Bobby (the oldest child), Peter (the middle child) and Phyllis (the youngest child).

My favourite part was when Phyllis said, ‘Can I have a baby elephant?’ That was quite funny! My best character although they were all very good was Bobby because she was very kind.  The use of props and scenery was very good and it actually made me feel like I was in the story.

I would definitely recommend it. It was very good.  The story was dramatic but also happy. When the music started against and the lights were going down I was sad that it had ended.
